The San Francisco Bay Area is one of the highest cost areas to visit on vacation. With your RV Golf Club membership you can get the best free RV parking in the Northern California area.
Hotel costs are high and there are limited locations to park an RV overnight. Would you like to know where you can park your RV and still get to downtown San Francisco to see the sights?
There are several RV Golf Club locations both east and north of the area, and within an hours drive to the city.
The access roads to the golf course parking lots are all paved. In many cases they are just off a four lane highway.
We needed to visit family in the East Bay last month, and stayed at one of these locations. As we’ve found, the golf pro and shop personnel were very welcoming.
This specific location did not have a locked security gate, had plenty of road space for turns and is paved. It’s next to a quiet neighborhood, and at the edge of the hills that rise up almost everywhere around the Bay Area.
The views from some of the golf course greens and tee’s are incredible!
The course only has a snack bar open during their playing hours. But a grocery store, restaurants and several other businesses are all within about a 5 to 10 minute drive in either direction. Since this golf course is in a housing area there really isn’t anything within walking distance.
One of the best features is the close by Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) station. You can drive 5 minutes, park your vehicle and take the train to downtown Oakland or San Francisco. No need to deal with traffic!
Our overnight stay was great – just the way we like it, dark and quiet!
The parking lot is slightly sloped downhill toward the road, so we parked by a tree line in the best level area of the large lot. We were able to stay parked there the next day while we attended a family event until almost 4PM. Then we thanked the golf course staff and headed out to our next stop.
Remember, you don’t have to play golf to join the RV Golf Club. Any size motorhome or towed trailer is welcome, as long as you are self-contained, just no tents or canvas topped trailers.
